Malibu
Malibu Bluff Park is across from Pepperdine University. Permits area $125/hr. Call (310) 456-2489, ext. 350.

Leo Carrillo Beach and Sycamore Cove are in the state park system. Permits are required for fewer than 20
people with no set up. However, larger groups and couples who want to reserve a private location need a permit
for $175 and up. Call (310) 457-8185 (ask for special event coordinator).

Santa Monica
The beach is large, wide and often crowded in summer. If you're looking for convenience to restaurants, Bluff
Park provides an ocean view and an easy walk to a reception site. A permit is required for more than 150 people

Manhattan Beach
The beach is large and wide, with volleyball nets and locals strolling the Strand. No vendor setups allowed
(chairs, tents, music, etc.). A permit for $150+ is required for more than 50 guests.

Point Fermin Park
Point Fermin Park consists of 37 landscaped acres of tree-shaded lawns, sheltered pergolas, colorful gardens
and a promenade along the edge of the palisade. The vantage point atop the rugged bluffs affords a breathtaking
view of the coast toward Santa Catalina Island. You may even be able to spot playful dolphin and harbor seals
from the cliffs. There are picnic areas, a playground and a small amphitheater. Two trails west of the area lead
to the beach and tide pools below. Highlights include a Victorian lighthouse.

White Point
White Point/Royal Palms Shoreline Complex off Paseo del Mar at the base of a 100-foot bluff, enjoys glittering
ocean vistas and Santa Catalina Island in the distance. A shelf of shore curving west from a rocky point, a reef,
and some large trees to the west are remnants of the Royal Palms Recreation Center, developed by Ramón
Sepúlveda.

Long Beach
Long Beach beaches are not as crowded as Santa Monica's, however, there are oil rigs off shore. One unusual
wedding location is the Light House in Shoreline Village. At the Light House you have the city skyline and the
Queen Mary as a backdrop. Groups less than 75 with no vendor services do not need a permit for the Light
House or city beaches. Permits for larger groups or those with set ups cost $250.
